Funding Opportunities
Periodically CCGI receives funds to help advance our mission through re-granting funds that support use of CaliforniaColleges.edu and data quality initiatives.
Funding to Support CMP Course Alignment
The State of California has contracted with the CCGI to provide technical assistance to K-12 districts to identify and resolve discrepancies between how “a-g” course data (e.g., course titles, associated transcript abbreviations) are listed in the University of California (UC)’s Course Management Portal (CMP) and how the same course data are listed on transcripts. Troubleshooting these discrepancies early can help prevent them from having a negative impact on admissions eligibility calculations.
For CCGI Partner Districts, “a-g” courses from Student Accounts on CaliforniaColleges.edu migrate into the Cal State Apply application. A comparable functionality will be made available for the UC Application in Fall 2024 for the Fall 2025 admissions cycle.
To maximize the benefit to students and the educators supporting their application processes, the UC has issued a communication through their High School Articulation bulletin that encourages all school districts to ensure that every course listed in the CMP from the 2020-2021 school year forward contains a local course ID within the designated field in the CMP.
